Swipe, Text, Repeat: Why Love Feels Harder Than Ever and the Skills That Actually Make It Work

Markéta Šetinová, Ph.D.

Nobody handed us a manual for dating in a world of endless swipes, blue ticks and "we need to talk" texts. In this talk we unpack why modern love feels so confusing, from ghosting and situationships to the pressure of doing everything right. Then we get practical, because good relationships are less about luck and more about skills you can actually learn. Come curious, leave with a few "why did nobody tell me this sooner" moments and tools you can use tonight.

Social Skills for Gen Z

Pillars of Resilience: Finding Solid Ground When the World Feels Unsteady

Bc. Veronika Hanušová, PEERKOlektiv

How can we become more mentally resilient? Many of us have probably asked ourselves this difficult question. Throughout our lives, we constantly face various challenges. Sometimes, we experience disappointment, rejection, or loss… Yet a fulfilling human life brings with it a vast spectrum of emotions - not just the pleasant ones. The goal of this workshop is not to get rid of these emotions, but to build skills that help us better navigate what we’re going through. Based on the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the program combines a theoretical introduction with practical exercises. Through them, participants will get a chance to practice working with their own thoughts and feelings. The emphasis is primarily on becoming aware of one’s own values and the pillars of resilience that can carry us on our journey toward a fulfilling and meaningful life. This workshop is a part of the PEERKOlektiv project.

Can't Feel Nothing (English with Czech subtitles)

Who turned off our emotions and why? One day, director David Borenstein realised that endlessly staring at his mobile left him completely numb, neither happy nor sad – nothing. As if something had sucked all his emotions out of him. Is this really happening? And who’s responsible?
