Counselling Services at Charles University

All students and staff at Charles University can access support when facing challenging situations.

University-wide counselling services are available at the CU Point. The CU Point counselling center is open to students and staff from all faculties and units of Charles University. Most faculties also provide their own counselling services.

You are not alone.


Counselling services at the Charles University are available during working hours.


For crises and urgent situations, national crisis support services are available. These services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

CU Point Counselling services are available to all students and staff at Charles University. Support is offered both in person and online.


Counselling services provides a wide range of services — from coaching and psychological counselling to legal support. Services include individual consultations, group sessions, and educational events. A career counselling center also operates within CU Point.

Faculty Counselling Services

Each faculty has one or more counselling centers with various areas of specialization. Most faculties have a psychologist available.


These services are primarily intended for students and staff of the specific faculty, but in some cases, they may also be accessible to members of other Charles University faculties by arrangement.

Sexual and Gender - based violence

If you are unsure whether you have experienced sexual harassment or witnessed it happening to someone else, you can contact the ombudsperson, the psychological or legal counseling services of the CU Point, or external non-profit organizations. Support is also available to individuals who have been accused of harassment.
