Czech Legal Basics for Students

This lecture presents selected specifics of the Czech legal system that foreign students are likely to encounter during their stay. Its aim is to provide them with the necessary information and make their time in the Czech Republic as smooth as possible.

In particular, it covers tenancy agreements (rights and obligations, lease and sublease agreements, termination of tenancy, etc.), key aspects of employment law (agreements on work outside employment, termination of employment, probationary periods, etc.), visas and residence permits, employment cards, and more.

Mgr. et Mgr. Tereza Martincová

Tereza Martincová is a lawyer with experience in a law firm who recently passed the bar exam. Tereza has worked for many years as a legal advisor for students of Charles University, and in her lecture, she will present the most common topics she encounters in her work.
