Charles University Resilience Centre (RC CU) was established in 2024 and is part of the CU Point department at the Rector’s Office.
Everyone at Charles University will be prepared to cope with crisis and challenging situations, primarily through the development of practical and emotional skills.
By supporting the development of students and the academic community, we strengthen society’s overall ability to manage crises. As the largest educational institution in the Czech Republic, we lead by example and inspire other schools to build resilient communities.
We strive to connect individual faculties, share examples of good practice, and join together in caring for the well-being of both students and staff. We also cooperate with international partners, from whom we draw valuable knowledge, inspiration, and proven approaches.
As part of our activities, we offer a wide range of support, including psychological and legal counseling, coaching, support groups, training in crisis preparedness, first aid, and skills for managing stressful situations.
We work with colleagues across Charles University as well as with external partners who consider the future of the academic community essential. Each year, we congratulate around 8,000 graduates on successfully completing their studies.
We believe that resilience is a skill that can be learned. We know it is strengthened by every challenge we overcome, and we therefore encourage the world around us not to fear obstacles.
The Charles University Resilience Centre also actively provides all members of the CU community with opportunities to gain skills and knowledge that can help them cope with crisis or stressful situations.
The following activities will take place in the winter semester 2025/2026. More information is available here.
