You never know what situation you might find yourself in, and sometimes it could even be a life-or-death situation. That’s why you should be prepared! Can you properly apply a pressure bandage or save someone who is choking? During the first aid training, we don't just focus on theoretical knowledge—come and practice adult and child CPR. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to handle other life-threatening situations (choking, shock, heart attack, or stroke) and perhaps even debunk some myths that are commonly circulated among people.

Do you encounter people experiencing strong emotions such as crying, anger, or anxiety, and feel unsure how to help them effectively? Participants of this course will learn what a crisis is, what triggers it, and how it manifests in behavior, thinking, and emotions. The webinar introduces basic techniques for helping a person in crisis. Participants will gain a theoretical understanding of how to manage acute stress reactions and what to do in cases of long-term psychological difficulties.
The workshops are led by experienced lecturers and crisis intervention specialists from the organization Krizí s vizí.
Registration will be open in November 2025.
Date: 10.12.2025
This two-part workshop helps participants develop practical skills for supporting students in psychological distress — from effective responses to acute crises to sustained support for long-term mental health challenges.
The workshops are thematically linked and designed to complement each other. While each workshop can be attended separately, completing both provides a more comprehensive understanding of the principles of psychological support.
Workshop 1: Psychological First Aid in acute crises
18.11. 16:00 – 18:30
This practical workshop equips students with the essential skills to support international students during acute psychological crises, such as panic attacks or sudden distress. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, apply basic psychological first aid techniques, and provide calm, immediate support while maintaining safety. The training emphasizes clear communication, empathy, and appropriate boundaries, as well as knowing when and how to connect students with professional help.
Workshop 2: Supporting Students with Long-Term Mental Health Difficulties
27.11. 15:00-17:30
In this workshop, students will explore how to provide meaningful support to international students experiencing ongoing mental health challenges. We will focus on how to listen actively, show understanding, and guide students toward professional resources without taking on the role of a therapist. The training also addresses self-care, personal boundaries, and strategies for preventing emotional exhaustion, helping participants remain supportive while protecting their own well-being.
Date and time will be announced.
