Dear Students,
The Volunteer Center has prepared another activity for our volunteers and international students: a Running School with the motto:
Run with us toward healthy movement and a healthy lifestyle! We can show you the path, but everyone must run it on their own!
Lecturer:
The running training will be led by Mgr. Pavel Šodek, a lecturer at the Department of Physical Education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. He is an alumnus of Charles University’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. He actively engages in many sports both professionally and personally. He lives by the quote: "Sport is the poetry of movement and action."
Event description:
After a short warm-up and stretching, the main part of the lesson will follow. It will focus either on the specifics of running technique or on the fundamentals of running training. A running loop will then be created in the surrounding area. Each participant will choose a pace that suits them. Between individual loops, exercises will be included, especially those aimed at correcting posture and strengthening the abdominal muscles. The number of repetitions will be individual. At the end of each loop, there will be a group correction of the running technique and execution of the assigned exercises.
The lessons are suitable for both beginners and advanced runners.
