Survival Czech: Module 3


This course builds on and extends the areas covered in Survival Czech: Modules1 and 2.


The course targets communication situations that the students need to deal with in everyday life, introducing essential grammatical concepts and vocabulary relating to the language functions such as making plans (using both modal verbs and the future tense), describing the human body and talking to the doctor, talking about the place we live in and using public transportation etc. Students also gain more sociocultural competence to deal with everyday life in the Czech Republic.

Timing:

Ten 90 min sessions from May 16th to June 17th;

2 x 90 mins per week, Monday and Thursday, 15.00 - 16.30

Lessons will be held online (Zoom).


Lecturer: Bc. Markéta Strnadová from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University.


Participants: The course is intended for Ph.D. students and postdocs.

We will send the link to the registered people before the beginning of the course.

E-books will be ordered by the language centre because of the lower price for bulk orders.
